Artist's Description
A desolate structure sits alone and forlorn among the ruins of the ghost town of Cuervo, New Mexico, one of the many small hamlets unable to sustain themselves once Route 66 was replaced by the more efficient and less intimate Interstate 40. These days, most travelers zoom past the tiny enclave without even knowing it's there, but it is presented here in a series of photographs documenting that it did once exist.

Thanks, Glenn. It was very evocative walking around and imagining the people who had lived there -- and making sure there were no snakes or lizards about to spring on me! :-D

Beautiful capture of this old structure. They lend themselves to so much speculation about times past.
